1. Get into groups of 3 and assign a level of government to each person (1x Federal Government, 1x State Government & 1x Local Government). You will be the expert in your group for your chosen level.
2. You then join everyone else in the class with the same level as you, and you form an 'expert' group.
3. In your 'expert' groups you will research the following questions:
-Where does your level of government meet? (1 mark)
-What area do they represent? (1 mark)
-Who is currently in power? (1 mark)
-How often do elections occur? (1 mark)
-What are the responsibilities of your level of government? (8 marks)
-Where do they get their funding from? (2 marks)
-List 3 ways your level of Government impacts you. (6 marks)
(use the resources and websites listed below, as well as conducting your own searches)
You are to present your research findings on an A4 page as a poster or a mind map.
By Monday31st July, you will have completed 3 posters/mind maps showing all 3 levels of government.
EACH POSTER/MIND MAP WILL BE GIVEN A MARK OUT OF 20 AS PER THE MARKS BREAKDOWN DETAILED ABOVE.
